Recently the tweens and teens of North Central Family Centre started visiting the senior citizens at the Regina Dove House. The kids spent the first visit painting nails, playing card games, showcasing piano skills, and talking with the senior citizens. Saturday May 14th, eager runners, walkers, bikers, and skateboarders took to the streets of North Central for the annual Fun Run. The event inspires people inside and outside of the community to come together and get active.

On Saturday, May 28th, NCFC is having a benefit gala for our community kitchen project.
We’re proud to welcome Canadian General Rick Hillier as keynote speaker, for an evening which promises to be entertaining, thought-provoking and rewarding. General Hillier was Chief of Defence Staff, Canada’s highest ranking position in the Canadian Forces and oversaw Canada’s mission in Afghanistan.

With this strange weather we’ve been having, we’ve still been lucky to get out to the lake to start our marathon training! Our first event is the 5k Fun Run, leading up to our favorite event, the QCM Half and Full marathons in September. Best of luck to all our runners!
